Gary was born and raised in the Sudbury area. He received an Honours Bachelors of Arts in Archaeology and Religion and Culture from Wilfrid Laurier University and his Baccalauaureati in Legibus (L.L.B.) from the University of Ottawa. Gary is a member of the Law Society of Ontario (2005) and the New York State Bar (2008). Gary is an experienced civil litigator with a focus on insurance defence work.
